Who We Are

Rouchelli (“Rouchelli”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent villa curator and introduction service operated by Ferdasco Studio, a company registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 65806301. Our registered office is at Stationsstraat 18, 7261 AD Ruurlo, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for all personal information collected through this website and in connection with our service.

Data We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, as well as certain information collected automatically when you use our website. This may include:

• Identity data: name, title, and date of birth where relevant.
• Contact data: email address, telephone number, and postal address.
• Request data: travel dates, villa preferences, number of guests, and special requirements. We do not process payments and do not collect or store card or bank details, as you pay the villa owner directly.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone, cookie identifiers, and pages visited.
• Communications: records of correspondence and requests sent to us.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to respond to your requests, introduce you to villa owners who suit what you’re looking for, send you communications you have asked for, and improve our website and service. We may also use your data to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms of service. We will only send you marketing communications where you have given your consent or where we have a legitimate interest to do so, and you can opt out at any time.

When you watch a house or join the Openings list, Rouchelli keeps your email address, the house or the regions you chose, your party size, the dates or months you gave and when you confirmed. They are used only to mail you openings that fit, at most twice a month, after you confirm by the link in the first mail. Members of the Openings list are also held in Klaviyo, which sends that mail. Every one of these mails has a one-click unsubscribe link, and a signed-in account can unwatch a house or leave the list at any time; an unconfirmed watch is never mailed again.

A client page counts how often it is shared and opened, and keeps a first name only when a visitor types one, and an email address only when a visitor leaves one. To count a like once, the shared page keeps an anonymous random number in your browser's own storage, not a cookie; it says nothing about you. An email address left there is used to send you the link once, and for Rouchelli's newsletter only when you tick the box.

On Rouchelli Partners, the profile details a member chooses to show (their website, Instagram and contact email) are visible to the other signed-in members of Rouchelli Partners.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies, and the small first-party cookie that records your consent choice, are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded. Your choice is stored for one year. You can change it at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Declining after accepting stops analytics and reloads the page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

When you arrive through a link from one of the creators who work with Rouchelli and you have accepted cookies, your browser keeps a note of that link for 180 days, so a question you send later is credited to the creator who showed you the house. The note holds the link and the day, nothing about you, and stays in your browser. Declining cookies deletes it.

When you arrive through a house link that one of the travel agents, wedding planners or event managers who work with Rouchelli shared with you, and you have accepted cookies, your browser keeps a note of that link for 180 days, so the house pages you open later still say who planned it with you and your question goes to their form. The note holds the link and the day, nothing about you, and stays in your browser. Without your consent it lasts only the visit, and declining cookies deletes it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and explore the villas so that we can improve the website. Google Analytics is loaded only with your consent; nothing is sent to Google before you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. When enabled, it processes technical and usage data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time. You can learn more in Google’s own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Error Monitoring

When configured, we use Sentry to identify technical faults. Diagnostic reports can include the error, browser information and the affected page path. Our application removes user fields, URL query strings, request bodies and error-message text from reports, disables default personal-data collection, and does not record session replays. This monitoring helps us maintain a reliable service. Contact us if you have questions about this processing or wish to exercise your rights.

Third Parties

We share your data with carefully selected third parties only to the extent necessary to deliver our service. These include our email service provider, Google (for the analytics described above, only with your consent), Sentry (for technical error monitoring), Klaviyo (our email-marketing and CRM platform, which receives the email addresses of newsletter subscribers and the contact details of request leads), and, where you ask us to introduce you, the villa owner or their management team. Any payment for your stay is arranged directly between you and the owner, so we do not share your data with a payment processor. We do not sell your personal data to any third party. All third-party processors are bound by contractual data protection obligations consistent with GDPR requirements.

The map of the area on each villa page comes from OpenStreetMap, run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. To show it, your browser loads map images from their servers, which receive your IP address and the name of our website, but not the page you are on. No cookies are set. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you where a villa is (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can read their privacy policy at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

Members of the Rouchelli Partner Programme pay their yearly membership through Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland). Stripe's own payment page collects the card or bank details; Rouchelli never sees or stores them, and keeps only Stripe's reference for each payment, the amount and the date, for the accounts and for refunds. A card saved at the end of an application stays with Stripe until the application is decided, and is removed when it is declined. The legal basis is the membership agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the duty to keep accounting records (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Stripe may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described below. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

International Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area. In particular, Klaviyo processes data on servers in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that your data continues to receive a level of protection consistent with the GDPR.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Request and introduction records, and any related accounting records, are typically retained for seven years in accordance with Dutch tax law. Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent. Where data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; and to receive a portable copy of data you have provided to us. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always indicate when the most recent changes were made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website following any changes constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated policy.
